Dress like a Princess for less than $50!

She’s made it to the best-dressed list of many magazines ever since she came under the public eye, she’s considered a style icon all over the world, and her outfit choices are always PERFECT. I’d be surprised if you still haven’t guessed that it’s Kate Middleton I’m talking about here. Everyone wants to adopt her look here and there. But dressing like a princess could come with a huge price tag…unless you know how to be savvy about it.

Let’s check out one of The Duchess’s most stunning looks – her outfit at the Imperial War Museum reception last year. And then let’s see how we can replicate the look for less than $50!

Stunning in Wakeley!

The duchess chose an astounding charcoal grey shift dress for the reception at the Imperial War Museum in April last year. As always, the figure-enhancing, simple dress looks gorgeous on the princess, truly teaching us that less is, indeed, more. It’s designed by Amanda Wakeley, a favorite designer of the Duchess whose creations she has worn on a number of occasions.

Though it’s difficult to find a great match for this dress at a reasonable, we’ve got a very close one that will surely WOW you!

Kate Middleton Look Alike Dresses

This piece from Asos is in a close grey color in a sleek silhouette. It’s nearly the same length as Middleton’s Wakeley dress, and is 100 percent cotton making it a comfortable choice. And the affordable price tag of $37.3 makes it quite a steal!

High-heels for the Popular Princess

Kate also paired her dress for a tall look with black Jimmy Choo heels that complemented her outfit tremendously. If you’re interested in similar shoes for a reasonable price, look no further than this lovely pair from Wet Seal for practically a fraction of the price at only $3!

Royally Accessorized…

Next come Kate’s accessories that day, which she kept at a bare minimum, in sync with her elegant style. She chose a pretty little black satin clutch and a black and gold belt.

This black clutch from Moka Handbags is a close similar at a reasonable price of $5.50. It’s a clutch wallet with a lovely weave pattern on it and comes in a leathery material that goes well with the dress and shoes we chose earlier.

Kate Middleton Clutch For Less

I’ve chosen this studded black belt from the 10-dollar Mall, which has a dull gold buckle that I felt was similar to the Princess’s amazing pick. The straw lining of this belt breaks the black and grey theme of the outfit well, and for $2.99, this is definitely a great buy.

And as for her earrings, I’ve chosen these gold wing earrings, again from 10-dollar Mall, closely resembling Kate’s 9ct yellow gold earrings, at an affordable price of $1.99!

So our total bill adds up to:

Dress $37.3
Shoes $3
Clutch $5.50
Belt $2.99
Earrings $1.99
TOTAL $50.78

Isn’t that brilliant, a royal look for $50? I wonder how many of you will try this princess look. Do share your photographs with me!
